The Apple iPad has been dominating what comes to the ever increasing tablet computer market. However, rivals are developing their own productions intensively, and latest manufacturer pushing out a range of tablet computers is Acer. They are bringing new, yet unnamed, 7-inch, 10.1-inch tablets and one other very interesting device to sale in April 2011.

All three gadgets are run by Google’s Android OS. Exact version of OS is not yet confirmed. Keep your fingers crossed that at least one of the three will be loaded with “Gingerbread” (Android 2.3) or even “Honeycomb” (Android 3.0?), which will be Google’s latest version of Android. Honeycomb platform is specially designed to get most out of the tablets and high-end smartphones. Just like for gadgets like this upcoming new more spectacular tablets and 4.8-inch Acer.

It is kind of hybrid among tablet/smartphone, very similar to the Dell Streak, However, Acer’s device has more life in it (power). This 4.8-inch comes with 1024X480! screen solution and is based on Google’s mobile OS. While writing this article, there is no finalized name for this new product yet. Public got only a short glimpse at it, in Acer’s Global press event in New York City on 23rd of November. Tech specs include, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, Bluetooth 3.0, 802.11n Wi-Fi, a two megapixel camera (front), eight megapixel camera (rear) (with LED flash), 720p video recording!, HSDPA support, a and an HDMI output, a LED edge lighting and six-axis Gyroscope + accelerometer package. Price of the device remains unknown, but enthusiasti may suppose to get this beauty to their hands on April 2011.

I myself have been using Apple iPad’s for rather numerous time now. I’ve got not one thing but good things to say with regards to Multi-Touch screen devices. I in truth think that this ever developing Tablet industry is a beginning of a totally new era of buyer selective information technology.

Great Portable Stand

Great portable stand. In my opinion, the item description nails it. It is very portable when folded up; may be without apparent effort tossed in a drawer or bag. It kept my iPad perfectly while in it is case and is sturdy sufficient to operate. It didn’t slide around the counter tops and is adaptable for dissimilar watching angles. It pretty much suits all of my requirements. However, my one minor complaint is that when the iPad is sitting vertically in the mount and the charging cable is plugged in, the cable interferes with the stability of the iPad. In other words, if the mount held the iPad perchance just a half-inch higher off the surface, the plug wouldn’t be a problem. Horizontally is of course no problem. I personally don’t find this to be an issue as I seldom have it plugged in when I’m using it anyway.

Great stand for my iPad!

This stand is great. I take it with me everyplace my iPad goes. The stand is very compact and portable. When folded, it is little sufficient to fit with my iPad in a 10.2″ net book sleeve. The stand adjusts to each angle you could want for both portrait and landscape use. It’s great when resting it on a pillow while lying in bed or for placing on a lap desk. At night, I use this on my night stand to charge the iPad while it displays my night stand app and plays my audiobook. When reading, I put the iPad in this stand and sit and read in landscape mode. When I want to lie down and read, I lock the iPad in portrait mode, put it horizontally in this stand and lie down one my side to read the book ‘sideways’. In the kitchen, it it my iPad cookbook stand. I am very happy I purchased this. The iPad is stable and safe in the stand. It fits great, even with a clear protective case on the iPad. The only issue I have is that the charger will not fit with this in portrait mode. The stand is too low to the ground. However, this may be remedied by turning the iPad so the charger is on top. Very happy with my purchase. Would buy again!
