good for kids learning, internet/email use, basic computing

I specifically bought this computer for my kids to learn about computers and play online games. It was two twenty plus tax on special at fry’s. I doubt I would have liked to pay more that three hundred for this.
For the purpose intended it is fine, plus I can check my email, search the web and write this review on Amazon
I can actually watch TV through its media center (off my HDHomerun) without dropout at HD video so better than I thought it would be actually.
I would not try to run more than 2 applications and I doubt it would be useful for high end games and video editing etc but it’s better than I thought.
Additionally I really like windows 7 x64 that it runs.
I doubt that I could make a computer for the components used in its manufacture. Plus the CPU is on an upgradable socket that later I could switch out for a core 2 Athlon – seen on sale for $30 at fry’s (this runs a single core 170u).
So overall for the price I paid and use intended 4.5 out of 5.

A great computer at a great price….

This is a great computer, I only have a basic use for computers but it is fast and is dependable. If you need a solid basic computer for household needs, this is the one!

I’ve only had this product now for just a few weeks and I can truly say that this is the best computer that I have ever owned. If you want a computer for everyday things like surfing the web to business projects and more, then this is the PC for you. I was a bit apprehensive about purchasing this product because of the poor reviews on the quality of the speakers. I knew that I had back up speakers that I already had with my old PC, so I took a chance on buying this computer because the price was very right for me, plus an added bonus was the free shipping and handling. But, to my surprise, the speakers were terrific. I don’t know what those other people were talking about saying that the speakers were very weak, because when I turned up the volume the speakers were very loud like my old speakers were. They worked so well that I unplugged my old speakers and now I only use the speakers that came built-in to the computer instead. WOW, what a great find with a great price too! I give this PC a five-star rating and I would recommend this computer to anyone that wants a great deal on a computer for less than what other retailers are selling this computer for. BUY IT!!! You won’t be disappointed.
